I struggled when all the remedies were looking exhausted for a cancer patient and when she approached. Your site is very informative. We have to work more to rellieve the pain and the lymphatic fluid accumulated – of those lymphedema patients!
Just a search in youtube.com reveals the torture given by cancer treatments to those patients who arrive newly under l.edema. There are or may be ways out. Thanks for this wonderful information and the contents are very good for the sufferers- if they ever get enlightened to know the value of this page in their life..

Knowing others suffer the same as me somehow makes it worse. I would rather be the only oddball than to know others have to suffer the same pain. Knowing there is no cure and none of the medical professions treatments have worked for me has been a source of deep depression. I do not want to live disfigured, in pain and a shut in. How can that be something to look forward to? The hope for my future is to look forward to daily pain and dragging around an arm that is huge, disfigured and discolored while I stay hidden from the world to be thankful I am still breathing. I can’t settle for that!

Thank you for such helpful suggestions. Living with Lymphedema can be very frustrating, but knowing that there are others who are dealing with it day to day makes it a little bit easier to handle. Stay positive!

I have suffered with this including the wounds/rash that can develop on the legs for about 15 years. I can deal with it by using many of the suggestions previously mentioned such as: 1) any form of exercise (the lymphatic system does NOT have a pump (i.e. heart, lungs) – it relies on the MOVEMENT of muscles & therefore the strength of muscles to move flluids)
2) bath soaks (1 cup epsom salt, 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar)
in addition to:
3) fluid intake &/or diuretics (ask a doctor)
4) massage (ask a doctor)
5) skin brushing
6) using lymphatic healing oils (see Baar.com website)
7) using compression stockings
detox supplements (ask a doctor)
I have been told of but not tried the following:
rebounding (jumping on a small trampoline)
9) deep breathing
10) ginger tea (1 tsp ginger + 1 cup water, strained)

This site has some very good suggestions & I will try a few. Massage can be expensive, but I find it very helpful.

Allopathic medicines like ‘ Banocide Forte ‘ and ‘ Hetrazan ‘ are good remedies. Please try them. See a doctor in hospital. they are the usual prescriptions.

Hi , i have this disease and it is in the leg ……….. doctors said that it is incureable but now it is in a more controlled state………i am under the diagnosis of aurvedic medicine but i come across very high fever with extreme pain in both the legs……….and also redness in the legs……….i have set up my mind that it cannot be cured………..but it is true that it cannot be cured……….because i am only 19 and the whole life is ahead of me……thanks
